Is an ilaçtarif® subscription required?

No. EczaneVPN® works on its own; existing ilaçtarif® users simply pay the lower price.

Does all of my internet traffic go through EczaneVPN®?

No. Only Medula and İTS connections use the fixed IP; everything else continues over the pharmacy’s own internet connection.

Can I use EczaneVPN® from home or from my phone?

Yes. With the EczaneVPN® app on a computer or phone, Medula and İTS see the same fixed IP from any location, and the pharmacy computer does not need to stay switched on.

What is EczaneVPN®? A fixed IP for pharmacies in Türkiye

EczaneVPN® is a fixed (static) IP service for pharmacies in Türkiye, developed by Alternet Yazılım at Denizli Teknokent, the team behind ilaçtarif®. Each subscriber gets a dedicated fixed IP that is not shared with other subscribers; whichever internet connection the pharmacist uses, Medula and İTS see that same IP. All other internet traffic stays on the pharmacy’s own connection.

Why do pharmacies in Türkiye need a fixed IP?

Medula, the Social Security Institution’s (SGK) system pharmacies use for prescriptions and reimbursement, only accepts connections from the static IPs a pharmacy has registered; SGK made this mandatory for all healthcare providers from 31 December 2016.

İTS, the pharmaceutical track-and-trace system run by the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK), has accepted connections only from registered static IPs since 1 February 2025. A pharmacy whose internet line changes, or a pharmacist working from home or from a phone, would otherwise be locked out.

How does EczaneVPN® work?

The pharmacist installs the EczaneVPN® app, signs in with a phone number and an SMS code, and connects. From then on, Medula and İTS traffic leaves through the pharmacy’s dedicated fixed IP, whether the device is on the pharmacy line, a backup line, a phone hotspot or a home connection.

The pharmacy registers that one fixed IP with SGK and TİTCK itself; the EczaneVPN® support team helps with the steps. Because the IP does not change when the internet line does, it does not need to be registered again.

How much does EczaneVPN® cost?

One package, two prices: 12 USD per month + VAT, or 9 USD per month + VAT for existing ilaçtarif® users. Prices are set in US dollars because the cost of the fixed IPs is; invoices are issued in Turkish lira at the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) rate of the day, with 20% VAT (KDV).

Is EczaneVPN® affiliated with SGK or TİTCK?

No. EczaneVPN® has no official affiliation, approval or authorization from SGK or TİTCK; the names Medula and İTS are used only to identify the systems the service connects to. The institutions’ own announcements always take precedence.
